That's actually a much harder question than it sounds.

Because we've somehow ended up using the same word for alchemy, tarot cards, sigils, talismans, astrology, voodoo dolls, talking to the dead, rocket fule for posers and a surrogate personality for gothic types, summoning angels, summoning demons and apparently putting cow manure into a horn and burying it in a field.

in spite of a hundred years of polite society dening that it is here, that i is real, and staying away form it anyway while simletaniously to stay away from it...has literally demanded from those of a certain threshold of intelligence to take a closer look at this at this ultimatley conticnetice mystery

what is that the governemn and org rligion does not want us to know

is the most impriatnt secret about oulsve hidden in mistranslated sympboim form our sacred past

from the lat timew we were smakrt enough to understan these mystey

Which is quite a lot of territory for one word.

And depending on who you ask, magick is either:

an ancient technology, a psychological technique, a way of working with consciousness, communication with non-physical intelligences, superstition, fraud...

or something we simply don't have a very good explanation for yet.

The interesting thing is that human beings have been doing this stuff for a VERY long time.

Across wildly different cultures.

Using surprisingly similar ideas.

Symbols. Correspondences. Timing. Intention. Resonance. Ritual. Altered states.

So before we decide that magick is real...

Or ridiculous...

I thought we might do something slightly more sensible.

Let's map the territory.
